Ongoing Advocacy

Ongoing Advocacy Retainer: $100/hour

Special education isn't a process with a single endpoint, it spans referral, evaluation, eligibility, IEP development, and everything after. I work with families on an ongoing retainer so support flexes to match what your child actually needs, rather than being boxed into a single meeting or a flat fee.
 

Your retainer includes:

• Attendance at IEP, 504, eligibility, and school meetings

• Review of evaluations, IEP documents, 504 plans, report cards, and progress reports

• Drafting emails and letters to the school (I write, you send)

• Drafting referral letters and parent input for eligibility and IEP meetings

• Strategy calls before meetings and consultations after

• Explaining evaluation data, scores, and what they mean

• Guidance through referral, evaluation, eligibility, and IEP development

• Requesting records and independent educational evaluations (IEEs)

• Tracking procedural deadlines and notice requirements

• Explaining parent rights and procedural safeguards

• Support through annual reviews, reevaluations, and amendments

• Availability when questions come up between meetings
   

Retainer: Initial retainer, billed at $100/hr in 15-minute increments.

Once the retainer is fully drawn down, you'll be invoiced monthly for services rendered, and you're always welcome to return to a prepaid retainer arrangement at any time.
 

Travel: Meetings within a 45-minute drive of Merrimack, NH are included at no additional charge. For meetings farther away, travel time beyond the first 45 minutes is billed at my hourly rate, and mileage is billed separately at the current IRS standard rate.
 

Printed Copies: IEPs, records, evaluations, and similar documents are billed at $0.15 per page.
 

Cancellation: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a $50 fee.
